Assignment<\/b>:\u00a0The Project Development Communications & Data Management Intern ensures the production of quality and timely communication materials in collaboration with the Project Development Department. She\/he assists the Project Development Department in maintaining external databases (ActivityInfo) while contributing to data management within the department.<\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n

1. Communication Materials for Fundraising<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1.1 Context Analysis<\/p>\n

a) Support in the analysis of sectorial needs and locational context, (donor) trends, needs and gaps to contribute to proposal strategy<\/p>\n

b) Support in the conduct of regular stakeholder analysis, in particular who does what and where (3W)<\/p>\n

c)\u00a0Assisting the Project Development Department in developing an overview of project activities, ACTED\u2019s involvement, on-going projects and future plans in ACTED\u2019s programmatic and geographic areas of intervention<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1.2 External relations<\/p>\n

a) Regularly update a directory of donors, international and local NGOs, other partners and stakeholders<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1.3 Fundraising and proposal development<\/p>\n

a) Regularly check the websites of potential donors to identify Calls for Proposals and other funding opportunities<\/p>\n

b) Contribute to the identification of potential relevant international and\/or local partners (private sector partners, national and international NGOs, think tanks, academia, etc.) to be included in proposals<\/p>\n

c) Integrate learning from previous interventions (e.g. lessons learnt and best practices) into new proposals<\/p>\n

d) Contribute to the development of fundraising documents such as brochures, factsheets, project 1-pagers to be used when communicating with donors<\/p>\n

2. Communication Materials for Projects<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.1 Internal Communication<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

a) Interpret\/translate from and to Arabic\/French as well as support proof-reading of the documents to support mission activities as required<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

b) Support in building capacities of the team\/mission members for generating visual content from the field<\/p>\n

3. Data Management<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3.1 Filing<\/p>\n

a) Properly file contractual project documents both in hard and soft copies and ensure that Project Development Department files, both hard and soft copies, are always up to date<\/p>\n

3.2 Management of Shared Documents<\/p>\n

a) Maintain up to date Project Development information in shared documents used by FLAT departments<\/p>\n

b) Oversee up to date information is recorded in Project Development Department trackers (e.g. project database, reporting database)<\/p>\n

3.3 Data management for ActivityInfo<\/p>\n

a) Provide monthly updates to ActivityInfo to ensure timely and accurate reports on targets achieved under all sectors<\/p>\n
