The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, and emergency food security, legal assistance, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.

Job Overview/Summary:

The child friendly space attendant will be responsible of providing essential childcare for accompanying children of beneficiaries attending the activities of the centre, assisting with stimulating and age-appropriate games and tasks.

To be successful as a child friendly space attendant, you need to have understanding for the principles of child protection, child development, and able to care for their basic needs, and be informed about what to do in an emergency situation.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and welfare of children at times while parents attend the classes.
• Provides a clean, safe and fun child friendly environment.
• Setting schedules and routines, preparing rooms setup while developing and encouraging age-appropriate activities.
• Monitoring children’s daily attendance.
• Ensuring children are learning positive behaviors and providing guidance as needed.
• Maintaining a safe workplace by monitoring children health and behavioral issues and reporting concerns to staff and parents.
• Ensuring beneficiaries’ feedback is considered and followed up.
• Attend and actively participate in all trainings held by NRC Lebanon, which are mandatory for all workers. If any trainings are missed due to unforeseen reasons, the child friendly space attendant will attend a make-up training.
• Attend meetings as requested by NRC relevant staff
• Utilize and protect the educational equipment, such as materials, books, and other learning aid provided by NRC
• Carry out related mainstreaming of protection in program daily implementation as per the set NRC’s Protection mainstreaming guidelines and ensures reporting any breaches/concerns to the line manager for proper action.

Qualifications and Relevant Skills:

• A degree in childcare or equivalent.
• 1 to 2 years working experience in childcare, child development, or childhood education.
• Honesty and trustworthiness, and responsive to constructive feedback and advice.
• Ability to work systematically and organized manner.
• Ability to listen actively, understand, communicate effectively, and discuss with supervisors and youth on their learning problems and psychosocial requirements.
• Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.
• Fluent in spoken Arabic, English is preferred.

الملخّص الوظيفي:

يعدّ العامل(ة) المعني(ة) برعاية المساحة الخاصة بالأطفال مسؤولا عن توفير الرعاية الأساسية للأطفال المرافقين للمستفيدين الذين يحضرون أنشطة المركز، والمساعدة في تحديد الألعاب والمهام المناسبة لكلّ سنّ.

لكي تكون ناجحاً كعامل(ة) معني برعاية المساحة الخاصة بالأطفال، يجب أن يكون لديك فهم لمبادئ حماية الطفل، ومبادئ نمو الطفل، وتكون قادراً على رعاية احتياجاتهم الأساسيّة، وتكون على علم بما يجب القيام به في الحالات الطارئة.

المسؤوليّات:

• ضمان سلامة الأطفال أثناء حضور الأهل للفصول الدراسية.
• توفير بيئة نظيفة وآمنة وممتعة لرعاية الأطفال.
• إعداد الجداول الزمنية والأنشطة الروتينية اليوميّة كما وتجهيز الغرف مع تطوير وتشجيع أنشطة متناسبة مع الأعمار.
• مراقبة الحضور اليومي للأطفال.
• ضمان تعلم الأطفال للسلوكيات الإيجابية وتوفير التوجيه اللازم عند الحاجة.
• الحفاظ على أمان المكان من خلال مراقبة صحة الأطفال ومشاكلهم السلوكية وإبلاغ الموظفين والأهل بها.
• ضمان أخذ ملاحظات المستفيدين بعين الاعتبار ومتابعتها.
• حضور جميع الدورات التدريبية التي يعقدها المجلس والمشاركة فيها، والتي تعتبر إلزامية لجميع الأساتذة والمدرّبين. في حال عدم حضور أي من التدريبات لأسباب غير متوقعة، يجب على المعلم أن يطلب من المشرف المباشر الحصول على تدريب بديل آخر.
• حضور الإجتماعات التي يطلبها الموظفون المعنيون في المجلس النرويجي للاجئين.
• الاستفادة من الاجهزة التعليمية وحمايتها كالمواد والكتب وغير ذلك من الوسائل التي يقدّمها المجلس.
• القيام بإدماج الحماية في الأنشطة الرئيسية ذات الصلة في التنفيذ اليومي للبرامج وفقا لمجموعة المبادئ التوجيهية لتعميم مراعاة الحماية في أنشطة المجلس النرويجي للاجئين، وضمان إبلاغ المسؤول المباشرعن أي انتهاك أو مخاوف لاتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة.

المؤهلات

يمتلك خبرة عمل تتراوح بين سنة واحدة وسنتين في مجال الحضانة أو رعاية وتعليم الأطفال. بالإضافة الى الحيازة على الشهادة متعلقة بمجال رعاية الأطفال أو ما يعادلها.

يمتلك الأمانة والجدارة بالثقة، كما الاستجابة للآراء والنصائح البناءة.

القدرة على العمل بطريقة ممنهجة ومنظمة

القدرة على الاستماع الجيّد والتواصل بشكل فعال كما مناقشة مشكلات التعلم والمتطلبات النفسية لدى الشباب.

القدرة على إحترام سريّة البيانات والحفاظ عليها.

إتقان التحدّث باللغة العربيّة، وتعتبر اللغة الانكليزيّة إضافة.
