Background:

The Arab Resource Collective (ARC) is a regional non-governmental organization. ARC's mission is to work with partners on producing and disseminating knowledge, promoting policies, and developing human resources in order to translate rights into reality. ARC targets children and youth within their environment and focuses on health, education, and protection.

Arab Network for Early Childhood (ANECD) was formed in 2014 as a Regional ECD network based in Lebanon. ANECD's mission and general goal are to ‘Connect, empower, harmonize, advocate, produce and communicate regionally adapted ECD experiences and resources to Arab societies on the rights of young children to playful learning, health, nutrition, and protection from harm.

Communication Coordinator’s tasks and responsibilities:

Communication Coordination:

  • Coordinate the Communication Implementation of ARC/ANECD under the supervision of the management team.
  • Coordinate with the different ARC/ANECD coordinators on communicating their projects.
  • Cover events where ARC & ANECD are being represented.
  • Coordinate with ARC/ANECD’s relevant staff members on communication activities.
  • Plan and conduct capacity-building workshops for the team for better communication.
  • Coordinate, plan, and support planning for any events, workshops, conferences, and meetings.

Internal Network Communication and Coordination:

  • Attend executive and annual meetings.
  • Propose and carry out a plan for internal communication with ANECD members.

External Communication and Coordination:

  • Attend any meetings designated by the Management Team.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration on communication with partners and stakeholders.
  • Lead the regular newsletters and calls to action publishing of my ARC/ANECD.

Organizational Communication Strategy:

  • Lead the work on communication strategies for ARC/ANECD.
  • Develop communication action plans in line with communication strategies.
  • Monitor and manage the different organizations’ websites.
  • Be responsible for the content and management of ARC/ANECD’s channels in collaboration with the relative project coordinators.
  • Write and deliver high-quality communication materials (flyers, website content, publications, posters, banners, newsletters, etc.) effectively to key target groups.
  • Compile resources and news to be used strategically in the communication action plans.

Communication Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, marketing, audio-visual, social science, political science, fundraising, or related field
  • Previous work with organizations is a must.
  • Previous experience in community development.
  • Excellent Arabic and English writing skills.
  • Creative and proactive.
  • Ability to listen and transform.
  • Ability to transform words and ideas into actions.
  • Ability to adapt, work under pressure, and might deadlines in tight or sudden deadlines.
  • Team player.
  • Strong partnership and liaison background.
  • Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality, age sensitivity, and adaptability.
  • Data and impressions analysis skills are a plus.
  • Any Certifications related to web and social media management are an asset.
  • French language is a plus.
