About Teach for Lebanon

Teach For Lebanon (TFL) is a Lebanese NGO working to ensure that all children in Lebanon, regardless of their socio-economic background, have equal access to quality education. Our model prioritizes youth capacity building in order to provide systemic support to at-need students. Our flagship project is the TFL Fellowship, under which we recruit and train Lebanon’s most promising university graduates and young professionals, known as “Fellows,” and place them for two years in schools serving underprivileged Lebanese and refugee communities. These Fellows receive ongoing training and support to address educational disadvantages by providing transformational teaching that places their students on a path of academic success.

Over the course of 14 years, TFL enabled hundreds of Fellows across 72 Lebanese schools and 37,000 vulnerable students to access the type of education that changes lives. TFL has empowered a community of over 200 alumni who are helping reshape Lebanon with the required leadership in schools, refugee camps, startups, government, and more.

Teach For Lebanon is an independent partner of the Teach For All global network (covering 63 countries across the world).
