Job Purpose: To provide training on “Greenhouse, soilless agriculture, hydroponic systems (Home based), climate resilient techniques and awareness on agroecology”.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Having the qualifications and the abilities to provide the trainees with required and basic concepts and techniques.
• Deliver and provide the newest technologies and techniques in the hydroponic system.
• Develop the Training Manual including all session plans, hand-outs/presentations, assessment tools etc.
• Assist in developing specific technical guidance and appropriate manuals related to hydroponic farming.
• Provide technical assistance and Training of Trainers (ToT) on home-based hydroponics system set up and management. (For 15 Participants)
• Support target participants (10 participants) to plan and coordinate the production of vegetables, fruits, horticulture & floriculture plants from seed, and bulbs
• propagation preparation to harvest in hydroponics environment, including new varieties to rootstocks.
• Enhance the capacity and skills of target participants on Nutrient preparation & management.
• Maintain a safe and effective teaching / learning environment during the sessions.
• Report daily to the project Manager on the training progress.
• Prepare and correct pre / post assessments and exercises and submit results on time.
• Follow up with project participants on their individual session.
• Submit a final report that summarizes the outcome of the administered training.
• Ensure that reports and pre / post assessment scores are submitted on time.

Education & Experience Requirements: 

• Bachelor degree in agricultural engineering or any related field and at least 5 years of experience
• At least 3 years’ experience in greenhouse, soilless agriculture and hydroponic systems
• At least 3 years ‘experience in TOT
• Fluency in written and verbal of English and Arabic is a must
