Assignment Context: 

This UNV assignment is part of WFP Lebanon, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit in Tripoli Field Office, The World Food Program (WFP) in Lebanon is a humanitarian organization that aims to provide food assistance to vulnerable populations affected by the crisis in the country.

WFP in Lebanon works with various stakeholders, including the Lebanese government, NGOs, and international organizations to provide food assistance to those in need. The organization provides assistance to both Syrian refugees and Lebanese host communities who are affected by the crisis.

The program provides food assistance in the form of e-cards, which can be used to purchase food items in selected supermarkets. The e-cards are distributed to eligible households, and the amount provided depends on the household's size and needs.
The outcomes of the program include improved food security for vulnerable populations, reduced poverty, and improved access to basic needs for refugees and host communities affected by the crisis in Lebanon.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Deputy Head of Field Office or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Field Monitoring Assistant will be:

• Conducting regular field visits to monitor food assistance distribution with WFP cooperating partners and to Cash Assistance redemption points including ATMs and MTOs to ensure compliance with program standards and protocols.
• Conducting post-distribution monitoring including Process Monitoring and BNOMs to assess the effectiveness of the food assistance provided and collect beneficiary feedback.
• Collecting data and information on program activities, progress, and challenges to support monitoring and evaluation efforts.
• Conducting phone call survey with beneficiary for verification and validation purposes to ensure that assistance is reaching the intended recipients.
• Assisting in the preparation of reports and other documentation related to program monitoring and evaluation.
• Assisting in the preparation of beneficiary lists
• Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor
